A holiday is the time to rest. Everybody needs a holiday because of our busy life. We had a wonderful holiday in Myanmar when my future husband visited. We will never forget the travelling that we did.
We travelled to the heart of Myanmar where the ancient city of Bagan stands on the bank of the Ayeyarwaddy river. There were eight of us, my family, my future husband and myself. Bagan was the city of kings of Myanmar. There are over 2000 pagodas and temples there. The tradition, culture and history of Myanmar is all recorded in the pagodas and temples of this ancient capital.
During the day we travelled to many p agodas. Each one is different, some are as small as a house, others are as big as a five-storey building. The views from the biggest pagodas were wonderful. We met tourists from all over the world who come to see the sunset from the Bu Pagoda over the Ayeyarwaddy river.
Every morning,we had a buffet breakfast on the hotel lawns overlooking the waterfront. Everybody enjoyed this pleasant breakfast. As well as visiting pagodas, we also visited arts and crafts shops and bought traditional Burmese souvenirs.
In the evenings, when we returned to the hotel, we would relax around the swimming pool before going out to dinner. We took many photographs there for future remembrance.
We covered many kilometers this trip and returned to Yangon tired but very happy.
