There are differences between Burma and Australia in the areas of Geography, Culture and Economy.
Australia is a larger country than Burma. The climate in Australia is mostly dry whereas Burma has monsoons . The rivers in Burma are large, flow all year round and are used for transport. However, all Australian rivers do not flow all year. Australian animals such as the koala, kangaroo, platypus and emu are not found anywhere else in the world. However, most animals in Burma are also found in south east Asia.
Burma is a small country with a large population but Australia is large country with a small population.Burma's large population has many different ethnic groups each with its own culture. On the other hand Australian culture is similar all over the country. In Burma, families stay together and help each other. Young Australians leave home earlier and raise their family away from the parent's home. In Burma rice is the base for most meals together with fresh meat and vegetables. Australian meals often use bread and processed meat and vegetables.
Burma's economy is dominated by small scale agriculture and gem mining , while the Australia economy is dominated by large scale mining and agriculture. Both countries have oil and gas industries. Investment in manufacturing is increasing in Burma because of the low cost of labour but in Australia manufacturing is in decline.
Although Australia and Burma have many differences, they also have many things in common such as beautiful scenery and nice people.
