My City

I want to tell you about my city, Nougbualamphu, Thailand, where I lived before I came to Australia. It's situated in the north-east of Thailand. There's a long range of mountains and a large amount of natural forests.

Nougbualumphu has a population of 482,207. The main languages are Thai and Lao. Nongbualampho is a multicultural city with people from China, Vietnam and many people from Europe. Most people live outside the city in suburbs. They travel by car, bus, aeroplane and train to Bangkok or often by car from the outer suburbs.

There are some important industries in Nougbualumphu. There is a lot of manufacturing, for example, beautiful silk. Clothing made from silk by ladies groups is quite famous and they have received many national awards for silk products. These are 5-star products of north-east Thailand.

Nougbualumphu has many places to visit. There are 150 million-year-old shell fossils, the Dinosaua muscum, temples, parks, and very popular festivals, for example the Rocket festival and the Banaba fair.
