I started at Teachers' Training College in 1990 and spent two years living in a hostel. It was a new experience for me because I hadn't lived away from home before. I had five roommates from different schools and areas in the country. We lived in the same room like sisters.
On week days we had lectures from 8am to 3pm and Physical Education or Art in the evening. We had our meals at the same time in a common dining hall and bathed in a common bathroom or sometimes from a big well.
At that time, there were about five hundred students in our year. We took part in sports meets and different campaigns and organized festival celebrations at the college. All of us worked together like one family. My college days were very happy, fulfilling and useful.
My days at university and teachers' college were great fun too!
